Healing Tree Hope 2.11

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (I Peter 2: 24).
The hope associated with Jesus' sacrifice on the tree has no comparable eventuality. Possibilities for humanity became heightened to an unimaginable level when Jesus surrendered to the way of the Cross. Through His loving act, the divine plan that no one would perish became a living prospect.
The condition of perishing is a state of non-existence. It is deterioration to a form of uselessness. It is decay!
When one thinks of the opposite of perishing, the word "save" leaps out. The concept of being preserved bubbles up. The idea of being useful surfaces!
As the imagination flows, the thought becomes obvious that the healing provided on the tree is to save, preserve, and render humanity useful for the Kingdom of God. This is a solacing thought during the season of Lent.
