Healing Tree Hope 2.4

ree

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (II Peter 2:24).

Sometimes, life offers uncomfortable circumstances. In such situations, one encounters the challenge of sitting with discomfort. Most certainly, this is an unwanted task!

Discomfort unsettles the mind, disturbs the emotions, and impairs behavior. In other words, discomfort crushes the soul. What is the antidote for a crushed soul?

In quietness and purposefully turning one's mind to God for direction, one can receive results. In fact,

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you,

saying, "This is the way; walk in it" (Isaiah 30:21).

The result indicated in the text above is in response to a cry for help. The consistent prophetic declaration for the CRY is God will answer.

We can overthink and trust too much in our own understanding. It is powerful; however, to place oneself in position to receive a response from the One Who knows all, sees all, and can resolve everything. So, when the mind is perplexed, when the emotions are in an upheaval; and when there is temptation to act according to human understanding, be silent and cry out to God! It is true that through the way revealed by the His Spirit, one will find peace, strength, and security. It may take more time to receive an answer; but the long-term benefits are worth the delay.
